Thank you to @leelovesbooks for tagging me in a π
I’ve had other Instagrams where what matters was how you looked, how exciting your life looked, how often you posted and how many followers you had.
My favourite thing about bookstagram is that you’re on here because you enjoy reading. That’s all it’s about!
β‘οΈ Having said that, Ive not been around here long and this is my personal opinion, but I have felt pressure to read faster. I’ve been in conversations that gave me deadlines to finish a book and around how fast others can read (which might work for them/help them!), I’ve also received buddy read messages saying not to rush..
β‘οΈWhat I’m saying is, it doesn’t matter what pace reader you are. I have NO qualms with these people, they are lovely people, have nothing against them and I am pleased that they can read fast (I’d like to be a quicker reader) ππ₯°
π For any slow readers, don’t feel pressured to read a certain pace or guilty if you don’t. And if you do.. step away guilt free from that. Let’s keep bookstagram all about the books. π
I’ve tagged some lovely people to get involved in the – but NO pressure if you’re not feeling it, don’t have time or have already done it! ππ
Love this tag and love this post ππ XXX
Looking gorgeous!! π Brilliant post, what you’ve said about feeling pressure really does resonate with me.. I’ve definitely felt like I’m not reading enough /producing enough content lately. Thank you for the reminder that it’s okay to take things slow-such an important message! ππ

Love this!!
Love this Katie! We all started a bookstagram for the same reason, because we enjoy getting lost in books and thatβs what weβve got to remember. Itβs a hobby not a competition ππ§‘
