One day a friend of mine told me that there is absolutely no point in reading fiction. It is a complete waste of time and you don’t learn anything out of that. So I decided to make this post. Both fiction and non-fiction have tonnes of benefits.

What do you think is the biggest benefit of reading fiction?

  1. I think reading fictions has allowed me to explore different scenarios that won’t really happen in real life, which makes me more empathetic ❤️

  2. This is a cool post and what you said is true. Imagination is more important than education said by Newton

  3. It depends on individual, what they prefer more. If they know – how to deal with realities & wanna learn how to dream, visualize, fly high, set hopes – fiction are great source & vice – versa. If people are looking for solutions – how to deal with problems; then non fiction are great source.

  4. I think vocab power we have is exceptional and not realised by us as well until it suddenly come out from our subconscious mind.

  5. That you learn through the experience of fictional characters, which would be even more immersive rather than learning the facts.
