August wrap up // September reads and a little lesson to myself/fellow book friends 👼

I read 1 book in August. I see people reading 10/20+ and you know what, yes I’d love to read faster so I could enjoy more books, but it’s your job to remind yourself that with books, it’s quality over quantity! I LOVED Renni’s work, and it wasn’t a book I (or @livinginreview my buddy read) wanted to rush.

So I’m not ashamed or any less of a reader – heck, I’m proud! It used to take me 6+ months(!) To read one book. I like my little reading bubble, so welcome all pace readers 🥰

In September, I’m reading:

📚 something to live for – Roper (as part of @bookswithchelsea book club!)
📚 The man who didn’t call – Walsh (with @ems.reads_ – I hope I’m not too late??!)

Have you read these?! No spoilers for the book club pals please – but I am already enjoying Roper’s book! 👏🏻

  1. I finished Something to Live For just yesterday. I’m curious what you’ll think about it. I found it sad but also having a hope for happier life. It reminds me of the movie Still Life, if you’ve seen it. Hope you’ll enjoy it. 😊

  2. Read at your own pace there will always be someone who reads more than you and someone who reads less but reading should be fun ☺️☺️

  3. dude the pressure to read like 50 books a month is so prevalent on bookstagram, i love the normalization of reading at the pace that suits you!!
